Sports Massage – Your Questions, Answered

Sports massage is more targeted. It focuses on problem areas and uses deeper pressure to help with aches, stiffness or injury recovery, compared to a general massage which is usually more relaxing.

If you’ve got muscle tightness, soreness, limited movement or you’re recovering from exercise or injury, a sports massage could really help.

You might feel a bit sore for a day or two, especially if it’s your first time or the massage was deep, but that’s totally normal and usually means it’s working.

Try not to eat a big meal or do an intense workout just before your appointment. Arrive hydrated and give yourself time to relax beforehand.
